Supported by the European Commission under the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union, “MultiPart” has carried out a thirty-month investigation involving eleven European research institutions. The Project was aimed at exploring multi-stakeholder partnerships in conflict-affected societies and their potential to directly impact on peace building processes in a human security perspective and reflecting on the role played by partnerships’ stakeholders, including international actors.
An International Conference that will take place in Pisa on September 22-23, 2010 at the Sant’ Anna School of Advanced Studies, the institution that serves as Project Coordinator. Its aim will be to present and debate the strategic findings of the research and to stimulate an exchange of views among scholars, practitioners and stakeholders on the nature and role of multi-stakeholder partnerships in conflict-affected countries.
